Hunting FAQS Iberian Red Stag

Do you have any question?

What makes Iberian red stag hunting in northern Spain such a memorable trophy hunt?

The hunting takes place in wild areas located at northern Spain covered by deep forests of oaks and open areas of mid-mountain. Iberian stag is unique with an smarter antler shape than the red stag, this makes a very elegant and amazing trophy for all hunters around the world.

The hunting takes place from September until early February but the best moment is during the rut time, from mid September until early October because it’s the moment when big stags start to leave deep and old forests looking for females in openings.

We hunt in mid-mountains terrains located close to Cantabria and Castilla y León mountains. The weather  usually is 60 % sunny combined with rains. The average temperature during the rut is 8 ºC on early morning and 15-20 º at noon.

The hunter will be lodged in comfortable hotels or rural lodges inside or nearby the hunting area where they serve typical Spanish cousine and the staff is very friendly. They will feel as their homes. We usually go for hunting very early morning after having breakfast at the lodge or in a place located in the hunting area. At noon, we do an small break to have lunch before going to hunt again. At the end of the day, we go back to the lodge to have dinner.

Iberian stag located in northern Spain has a body shape bigger than the Iberian stag located at southern Spain but the trophy is more or less the same. The real value of its hunt is the scenery where you hunt then, inside the mountains.
