RONDA IBEX HUNTING
RONDA IBEX HUNTING TAKES PLACE IN SPANISH SOUTHERNMOST MOUNTAINS

Ronda Ibex hunt method is by stalking in Government game reserves or private areas.

Morphologically it is the smallest of the four different types of ibex which are differentiated in our country. The horns grow upwards in a V shape and then backward with a spiral twist of just 90 degrees. While this is the typical shape of the horn of the Ronda ibex, other formations may be found in this region, even within the same herd.

Ronda Ibex hunting takes place in Ronda mountains and other mountains located in Cadiz and Malaga provinces, in Southern Spain.

Hunting FAQS Ronda Ibex

Do you have any question?

What should hunters know about Ronda Ibex hunting in southern Spain?

If the hunter wants to achieve the Spanish Grand Slam should know it.

We strongly recommend to hunt Ronda ibex during the rut time, during November and December. Spring time (March-April) is a good time to do it as well when we can find herds of males.

The hunt takes place is rocky places located at southern Spain. The weather  usually is 80 % sunny combined with rains. The average temperature during the rut is 5 ºC on early morning and 20 º at noon.

The hunter will be lodged in comfortable hotels or rural lodges inside or nearby the hunting area where they serve typical Spanish cousine and the staff is very friendly. They will feel as their homes. We usually go for hunting very early morning after having breakfast at the lodge or in a place located in the hunting area. At noon, we do an small break to have lunch in the mountains. At the end of the day, after the hunt, we will go back to the lodge to have dinner.
